Hello! I am not a native Edinburger but hail originally from Canada (the maritime region specifically) I took a Fine Art degree at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick and in that time I took a few photography courses. My first camera was a Canon, completely manual that I borrowed (then acquired) from my parents. I guess that was where my love of photography began, anyone that has developed there own film and printed their own negatives will know what a labour of love photography can be. In the years in between I've done the odd bit of photography taken pictures for folks weddings but I'd lost my way with it. As my photography professor used to say, you can't get a really good photo unless you take your camera with you everywhere...he was right. I've just recently purchased my first digital S.L.R and I'm hoping that participating in this website will give me the push I need to get back into photography. A friend of mine that I took Fine Arts with introduced me to blipfoto, we're also hoping to get a studio space together. This is the year for creativity and a year for change! Say goodbye to banality, it's time for adventure!
