Clam Harbour beach

Day 3, Halifax Nova Scotia: My sister and I rented a car today and took a drive out of the city down the Eastern Shore along the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia. It was a chance for us to see the sights together on such a fabulous day and also get Sam out of the apartment for a good long run. I had so many great photos from today, it was hard to choose but I really liked this one with Sam in it, he was so happy to be racing around like a wild bandit and it seems to capture how wild and beautiful this beach is. I had been to this spot many years ago with a friend, unfortunately the fog had rolled in and I never got to see the true splendour of the area. I feel lucky to have finally been able to see it properly. After strolling up and down the beach for a couple of hours we completed the afternoon with a visit to a fish and chip shop that had just opened for the season. I'd never tasted haddock so fresh and tasty...must have something to do with the sea air!
