Nature's fantastic ornaments 2...in Canada!

Day 6, Moncton New Brunswick: I went out for a walk with my mom today, a wonderful experience for me as the last time I saw her she was in the hospital and very ill. It's so hard not to take things for granted, the time I spent with her has made me feel very lucky. We had a relaxing stroll together and I noticed these crocus's poking out through the dead vegetation. Canada must be at least 2 or 3 weeks behind the U.K in terms of spring. There is still some snow on the ground and most of the grass is still brown with only the tiniest buds on the trees. In the photo you can see some of the green shoots of grass making their way out of the ground. Despite the hard cold winter which Canada experienced this year, things are starting to grow.
