A slice of Lesley's life

Birthdover

As I child I always loved having my birthday in the school holidays. I still do. The day started with a leisurely walk to the river and a new coffee shop opened by one of my friends in an old skittle alley in a pub. All in glorious sunshine.

The day continued in a similarly leisurely vein until we headed to the final shenanigans of the Birthday Festival Season. And we ended it all with a bang - an hour of puzzle solving to try and escape a locked room (we failed but we were oh so very close) and a very fine tapas dinner at Iberica Marylebone.

This is a picture of Team Douglas.

I am now replete and happy and ready for a lie down with one of my new books.
