Tender broccoli sprouting

I was looking for more sweetcorn in the green-grocer's but he only had those long-life, vacuum packed objects. Feeling a bit dejected, as I had anticipated another sun-coloured meal, I immediately cheered up on spotting a fresh-in delivery of sprouting. It was a toss of the coin between them and some slender English asparagus (this time of year!).

I marinated the spears to soften them, and added radishes, onions, sesame seeds, and ginger.

Am still on the hunt for fresh sweetcorn. I suspect our own grown on the veg. patch won't have time to reach ripeness - but fingers crossed.
