Winter sun

It was a cold frosty night so I’d better bring these beauties inside before we go.

Thank you for sympathies yesterday. Of course there was no need to be stressed or panic as I had my packing done in an hour this morning. Now what?!

I’m awaiting my Blurb book - they decided to order me another copy of the Iceland one as the one due on 10 October is still in Kent. The new one went from Netherlands to Belgium to France then Edinburgh. From there it has been to Newcastle and Durham but still says it will be delivered today. FedEx are not as reliable at DHL here.

It’s going to be a long day tomorrow what with the 3.15 am wake up, drive to Gosforth and a taxi to the airport for early flight to the dreaded T5 Heathrow where we have a 6 hour wait. We have spare clothes in hand luggage as it’s not often our bags manage to come with us. We reach our hotel 26 hours after getting up. Pretty sure we’ll sleep when do do get to bed (briefly) before we hit the museums on Sunday. I’m looking forward to the next road trip!

Ps a message from FedEx - “local delivery restriction, delivery not attempted”.
They are useless - the first book this one was replacing is still in Dartford.
