Gymnastics in the sun…

…yes the SUN! It took it’s time to come through the thick blanket of clouds but when it did it was worth waiting for.
We watched Amelia and Lucy doing gymnastics and had tea al fresco.
I don’t know where they get so much energy from. Amelia has had two full days of an ice skating course including off ice exercises, yoga and a talk on nutrition as well as the actual skating. We had Lucy all day and we did some painting, played dominoes and she did lots of dancing to show us what she does.

I have been really tired all day so am going for an early night.

Summer?

Well, Mr Weatherman,
at last you’ve delivered
blue sky and sunshine,
for months I have shivered!
I hope for the last time
I’ve put my thermals away
until the icy blasts of winter
once again come our way.
I’ve missed the heat of the sun
and the rays upon my face
I’ll make the most of every day
Each summer’s day I’ll embrace.
