Struggling For Air

Edit: Viewing the image in daylight, I realised it was much too dark, which came from editing a murky image at night when the screen was brighter and I was not. Consequently, I took the unusual step of re-editing and reposting.

A few blades of grass poking out of the water seemed to be struggling to reach the air. Or maybe it's me that's struggling? Every day I look for something to photograph, every day it's a struggle to find a worthy subject. At least today was dry and not too cold.

I really liked the contrast between the green grass and the submerged dead vegetation, preserved as in aspic.
