Dead Still

Eerily quiet down by the lake today, save for a few birds flying about. The lake surface, dead still. A few ice sculptures remained, preserved by near freezing temperatures all day.

The ice had obviously melted somewhat yesterday, causing the icicles. I liked the intricate structure against the flat, smooth water and the touch of colour from the reeds in an otherwise monochromatic world.
