Wiggly Lines

I could see the squiggles in the water, but capturing them was another matter. Trying to factor in wind velocity and timing, angles of reflection and camera settings, was quite a challenge and the results largely hit or miss. In the end I came away with a dozen or more shots, none of which resembled my vision.

I selected this image because the wavy line is clearly visible and there's a touch of reality in the clarity of the water surface and protruding branch. I also liked the contrast of blue sky and dark tree reflection. I have to admit I was so concentrating on the wiggly line, I paid little attention to how it interacted with the background.
