A Lovely View!
After a morning cleaning the rest of the kitchen cupboards (me) we walked round to Shed 24 - the Tea Room at Hellifield Station for lunch. The station is a major railway junction and has regular steam trains stopping there to fill up with water.
The owners have worked hard since they opened it last year and turned it into a mini museum and very recently added a holiday apartment upstairs. Lockdown was as hard for them as any other hospitality business so it was nice to see all the tables occupied. Even so, it was easy to social distance as they were over 2 meters apart and the door and windows were wide open, plus the staff wore masks too.
We took Bella May with us and she embarrassed us by pulling on her lead when another dog approached her. Unfortunately her lead was hooked on a big metal firewood basket and also wrapped round the chair. First the basket of logs went over then the chair!
This afternoon we came down to the boat for a few days. This was the view as we had our coffee! There was a good spattering on the gravel tow path and even some on the back deck. All cleaned up now. That's what you get for mooring on a farm!
Frank has a curry on the hob and we have beer in the fridge! The only thing we haven't got is a comfy sofa so we are on garden chairs till the new sofa comes next week.
Stay safe everyone. :-)X
