Saved by the gate

I spent the whole morning in meetings, one of the PCC and the second of the church/council liaison committee. A lot of progress was made with the bell project. It was decided next year that we will have a bell weekend, a Fête des Cloches, to celebrate the arrival of the first set of English bells in France capable of change ringing. We hope to repeat this every year. The afternoon was spent writing minutes but I found time to walk to a friend’s house for a social visit. I thought I had found my blip for the day walking past a house and spotting a fine Alsatian sitting by the gate. However, when I approached to take a shot, the dog decided not to cooperate. I’m glad there was a gate in between us!
