The apple season is with us. Our side valleys grow apples rather than the soft fruits of the main valley. The Fête des Pommes will take place in the next valley in two weeks time. A lot of Golden Delicious are grown which I am not a great fan of although they aren't bad straight off the tree.  Some of the local market stall holders grow more interesting varieties.  I went into  Prades market early before doing the supermarket shop. I managed to get some brill today as well as the usual squid, salmon and mussels. There were just three of us at French conversation which made for a pleasant afternoon of chat.
