I got my first camera for my 9th birthday (I think) - a Kodak 127 which lasted me a few years until in my teens it was replaced with a 35mm, not SLR. For the next 25 years or it went with me on holiday at home and abroad and I still have most of the slides - I couldn't take too many as I couldn't afford the film!
Once married with children I wanted something smaller and went for a top-range compact (which had to be repalced twise due to being lost) and mostly turned to taking prints but on my birthday this year I went digital and joined Blipfoto.
As I am still working I have limited time for photography but enjoy the challenge of looking for photo opportunities.
December 2018. An update is long overdue.
I'm now retired (since mid-2016) but still seem to have plenty to do and have more outreach opportunities at church.
With my retiral gifts I bought a digital SLR though still use my digital bridge and point and shoot.
I never thought I would still be blipping but it's great to share in this great community.
