Milking parlour

The sun was shining first thing but rain began just as we were leaving home and has continued ever since, we're going to have a very soggy run tomorrow! (Unclear how much rain there will be).
We drove to Kendal so Mr Rat could buy another pair or running shoes in the specialist shop, he ended up buying some he could have got at home but did try on several others which he couldn't have tried so it was worth the visit.
Then to our Travelodge via Low Sizergh Barn for tea and cake. The café and shop are in the old barn/byre with a plate glass window overlooking the current milking parlour, and we arrived just at milking time.
We had been going to walk to the pub for a meal but, given the rain, will just use the service station (and we do get a 20% discount).
