Time for a litte smackerel, Mummy

"Nearly eleven o'clock," said Pooh happily.
"You're just in time for a little smackerel of something."

A busy day today. We started back at gymnastics this morning. The girls spent most of it trying to escape into the 3year olds class next to us. Bigger balls, better looking apparatus, they were off! But they enjoyed theirs too. We went to soft play afterwards, and they played really well, not just ate raisins (although they did that too). I suspect they heard our complaining at all the activities rising in price.

We were invited for lunch at the play cafe and when we got there, lots of our friends were there, which was great. Katie had a fair old achievement today - she climbed the final hurdle, mound, in the soft play. It's the one that they all struggle to get over, its just a bit big for the dinky ones, but today Katie worked out how to use the netting to pull herself up! Everyone clapped and cheered her. She clapped herself, bounced up and down, and then refused to do it again.

I took a tiredout Katiebaby home for a sleep, before we popped to a friends to collect our shiny new hoover. I was rather excited about it - we had a small one, which did the job, but slowly and requiring extremely frequent emptying. This is shiny, fab and turbo-charged (so it claims!) I must be grown up now though, to be excited about a household appliance.

We then went for a play with Harrison and Aiden, to Katie's delight. She adores baby Aiden and was giving him huge cuddles and kisses, and Harrison loves 'Tatie' and grabs her for cuddles too. It was no wonder really that at 6.15 katie took herself upstairs ready for bath and bed and that within seconds of her head touching the pillow, she was asleep!
