Concentrating

We had an exciting day today. A leisurely start to the morning, bit of a tidy round, then my friend came to see us. I haven't seen in her in two years, so she hasn't met Katie. Then on Thursday, I got a message on Facebook. She's moved into our village! We live in such a small world, don't we? Anyway, this morning, she came round for a couple of hours. Katie loved her, I was delighted to see her again. And just to top it all off, she has offered babysitting services should I require them!

I put Katie almost straight to bed after she'd gone and she slept for quite a while. I went up to her just as she was waking up and in her half sleepy state, she pulled one of her toys to play the music and sat there dancing - whilst she looked totally adorable still, I have to admit she looked a little drunk!

Once she'd properly woken up, we went up to see The Cousins. Katie was really excited to hear she was going and grinned in the pram all the way there. She did, however, get herself into disgrace when she hurled a much loved (soft toy) reindeer repeatedly at the floor, it didn't go down well. (much loved by grown up not child, I hasten to add!) Reindeer was swiftly whisked away and put in his room for safekeeping.

This evening Katie is rediscovering one of her treasure bags from when she was little, with all the fabric, ribbons and pretties. She still plays with the one with different tubs, pots, etc on a morning, but she's ignored this one for a while and is loving having it again
