Same Pond....

different vantage point! I most often photograph our pond from this angle but this evening when i went on a blip-about.....I liked the look of it from the other side - plus the rain was dancing nicely on the water!

It's been a weird sort of day....and because it's Wednesday, it means it is Market Day in Baddeck.....started out with lovely blue skies and warm sunshine, perfect thought i, for setting up outside in the parking lot. Usually about 4-5 vendors set up their wares outside and the rest, about 12-14 set up inside, mostly because they have perishable product! So the usual 4 set up outside, and within an hour the rain started, just little showers but enough to chase 2 of the 4 inside! So it was up to George, Cora-Lee and me to provide the show stopping attraction! It was tempting, by the 3rd 'shower' to head inside too, but i couldn't leave George and Cora-lee and their sausages out there on their own! So we braved it thro a very quiet and rather dismal attendance. Summer has definitely gone....and we're now in the 2 week gap where the families have returned home, kids needing to go to school...and the next type of 'older' visitor that prefers it a little quieter and less heat!

It is now quite chilly and still raining.....we're having home made pizza, with the new batch of pesto i made the other day.....mmmmm.....oh and a little beer by my side as i type! not a bad way to end a bit of a dreary day!
