From the dark corner.....

Heaven on earth / Ayr sunset...

One day I will stop worrying and wondering about things beyond my control. Everything sorts itself out one way or another in the end.

Today was one of those days that a few things slotted into place. Something I'd been struggling to get my head around for the last couple of weeks suddenly started to make sense thank goodness. About time too! Work was fine after that.

Mom went out to mass in the morning. I got an email and text message telling me that someone called James would be delivering my 2ft fibre optic Christmas tree between 10:15 and 11:15. James turned up at 10:40 so that was good. I had it plugged in and glittering nicely by the time mom arrived back.

'Well there aren't many balls!' was all she said. Sigh! Seriously, it's really quite sweet and understated, just as she wanted. Now mom wants more balls! Double sigh!

There was no glorious sunrise this morning but the visible light appearing at 8am suggested there might be a good end to the day. It's funny how staying close to the sea regularly has made me quite good at predicting the weather. Yesterday it was grey all day and I knew it was going to be grey after work too. I was absolutely right! I'm a weather forecasting genius! Just call me Michael Fish.

Mom wanted to go to Morrisons which was completely the opposite side of Ayr to the beach. I refused point blank saying I was not walking round a dratted supermarket while a good sunset was on the way. It was a relief when I was proved right and we both enjoyed the walk to Greenan Castle and back. The sunset was at it's finest for hardly any time at all but left everywhere with a rosy glow which lasted until we got back home.

Go large....

Track? Charlie17 chose a Del Shannon number tonight and I have picked another one but a version by the Sensational Alex Harvey - Runaway
