The Harbour Green development on Portobello Prom moves to another level.

The first phase is now completed and the new owners begin to move in from next month. The site office was being craned to the far end of the complex as work begins on the second phase next week.

This development has been built on the former Fun Park and prior to that on the site of the 18th century harbour.

The bottle shaped kilns from the former pottery have been restored and are now a feature both of the promenade and this new residential development.

We were on our way to look at buying a replacement car - not a luxury seaside apartment - so after a brief and highly informative conversation with the lady in the site office we carried on with our walk!

The car hunt continues but the long walk along the foreshore was most exhilarating.
Good luck to Scotland v New Zealand this evening at Murrayfield.
