Dinner

We got a late start Saturday morning because sleeping in felt so good after a long day of travel, but once we came alive we headed for the Bloomington Farmers Market. It was surprisingly cold, with a sharp wind blowing so we didn’t meander through the vendor stalls like we usually do, but we managed to pick up a few things. After that we headed to my favorite kitchen supply store, Goods For Cooks, where I drooled all over the cookware, etc. Cooking as always been one of my favorite things to do but I don’t get too many changes to get creative in the kitchen anymore. Sadly, I can’t break the habit of wishing I had every pot and pan made by Le Creuset, so I bought two of their smallest pieces (with the cute name of mini-cocottes) and a cookbook to go with them, and made sweet potatoes with pecan crumbles. It only goes to show how hopeless I really am when it comes to cookware. We made sandwiches with pulled pork and barbecue sauce we bought at the Farmers Market to go with the sweet potatoes. It was a really nice dinner.
