Don't Try This At Home

This is dark chocolate linguine with homemade strawberry ice cream. The ice cream was good, if a bit rich – actually a lot rich because we got carried away with Rob’s new ice cream maker and heavy cream. It kind of made our teeth hurt. Lesson learned there; follow the recipe. The linguine was tasteless and disappointing because we thought it was an interesting idea and we’re self-appointed chocolate experts, so we know chocolate.

The upside of the day was a spectacular thunderstorm which I found more than entertaining. The downside was that I think I’m getting a cold, most likely a gift from the guy sitting next to me on the plane who coughed his way from Portland to Chicago.
