This is just to prove that it is not always sunny in the Pyrénées Orientales! Last night there was a huge amount of rain with flooding in various places along the Mediterranean coast. Driving to a meeting last night, I was almost forced to stop by the force of the rain. Needless to say the little spring in the wall of our garage/utility room has begun to run a little faster. The Water Board should confirm tomorrow that it is not their pipes at fault. The Mairie should be switching the irrigation water off for a few days to check whether their channels are the problem. Failing that there could be a small spring that has sprung up below the street and there will not be a great deal that can be done about that!
