Water baby

We were definitely a lot more chilled today. It always takes a few days to properly unwind doesn't it?

After a lovely breakfast (see a picture of Audrey at the breakfast table looking pensive), Audrey took her daily trip to see the tortoises for a chat; "Hello baby tortoise, where's your Mummy gone", "Bye bye tortoises I go swimming with Daddy" etc.

Then we all got ready and it was time to hit the pool. The weather was dry (not sunny) but it didn't bother our little water baby! She absolutely loves that pool and it has been an absolute joy to watch her playing in it every day. Today she ventured further aided by Angus and she was singing throughout (Audrey sings when she's happy) with her little legs kicking.
"Look Mummy I swim with Daddy".

It wiped her out again though and she slept for over two hours at lunch. This meant I finally got to sunbathe (it was hot!) and even managed to finish my book. I would say that was pretty marvellous considering this is a family holiday. Certainly surpassed my expectations!

Angus seemed a bit more alive today too. We waited for a passing thunderstorm to abate then jumped in the car for Ibiza town for a pizza dinner (Audrey ate a huge portion, we have really been struggling with the food on holiday so far - she seems to just eat bread, cornflakes, bananas and kiwis!).

Can't believe tomorrow is our last day already but we have vowed to return next year and maybe book a villa after this trial run. And we even like the hire car now we've got used to it. The freedom of having your own wheels on holiday certainly takes some beating!
