Standoff

I had more ambitions blip plans tonight but when this little drama started to play out on my front porch how could I pass it up.

The squirrel -- I'll call her Flo -- is very assertive and will come right inside the front door in search of a peanut. She looks like she recently finished nursing a litter so my guess is she's looking for some extra calories. Lizzie, in a rare moment of good judgment, kept her distance. The indecision was clear in her expression, and I give her points for thinking twice about taking Flo on. I don't think a physical confrontation would have ended well for either party.
