Beta Swim-By

Meet Max, a rescue beta, or rather the back end of Max. He's a little the worse for wear but seems to be doing okay. He wasn't exactly abused, he just didn't get proper beta care and got sick. He's been medicated and upgraded to an aquarium of his own and even has a plant to hide in which he seems to like. He now lives on top of my refrigerator which is not an appealing spot for the kitties. Lizzie couldn't get up there if her life depended on it and I don't think Snuffy knows about it. I figured Max has had a hard enough life; he doesn't need two cats peering into his home.

I know very little about fish, so I can't really tell if he's happy. I worry about that. I really want him to be happy, but he doesn't purr or wag so I guess I'll just have to assume he is until I find him floating belly up.

And yes, in case you're wondering, I'll rescue just about anything, except the spider referred to yesterday.
