We drove to Augustow for a short cruise on the lakes. Last time I was in Augustow there were people actively selling boat trips. Today they weren't around but eventually someone looking a bit like a mariner showed up and we negotiated a trip with him. There weren't any other takers so we had the rather speedy catamaran to ourselves. We passed a returning fleet of gondolas going up the river and overtook them on the way back.

The food I selected for late lunch wasn't the best especially since we were going to M and J's for genuine Ukrainian borscht in the evening. Their roof is nearly on now.
