Today started early. Pre-5am. Hide and seek by 530. I had said we could run to swimming today so she dressed in her running kit very early. I was so impressed, she ran the full way to the pool. Further than the race last weekend. She told me half way there that her "new shoes were amazing, they're fantastic". As we were nearly there, I said if she made it the full way that I would enter us into a Race for Life this summer. The pink race I explained it as to her.

Despite having run to the pool, we had a great swim. She was doing handstands on the bottom of the pool. From the deep end.

After changing, we headed to our friends' house. The girls had a lovely time playing together, being princesses, cafe owners and shop workers, before a play in the garden and barbecue lunch. After lunch we had a wonderful afternoon in the garden. The girls played in the paddling pool, at the water tray, with the hose pipe and just being.

Katie was asleep by 5pm.
