Saving the day

BUSY day! But lots of fabulousness. She did some great swimming during her lesson. Her swimming on her back is really coming on. That's the bit took the longest for Katie to find her confidence with. But boy is she loving it all. We had a fabulous catch up briefly with our friends as their little girl came into class after Katie. They've been in Australia for nearly a month and we've missed them!

Having the bike has made Saturday mornings a bit less of a mad dash. We made the train to ballet with plenty of time. We had time to stop at the shop for extra snacks. We arrived at ballet to complete chaos. Exciting chaos, but chaos. Today was costume-fitting for their big production in two weeks time. The next class up to Katie's is usually taking place in the upstairs studio when she has her lesson, but they had switched for today's class. However Katie's were to try on their costumes in there first. They're adorable!!! Last year they did a "presentation" rather than a full show, so the costumes were less elaborate and they did some of it in class uniform. This time, she has a full tutu for one dance and an adorable little unitard, with pony tail and ears for the other. We were all upstairs for some of the class, then the children all went on their own with the teachers to rehearse their dances. The teacher came back and said "You're all going to go to pieces when you see this". VERY excited! And Mummy's managed to swing being the only allowed camera for the show!

After ballet I took her into the city for a bit. We had a potter in a couple of shops, had lunch, a ccino, before we headed to our afternoon treat. We had tickets to see the Professionals on Ice. I dont watch Dancing on Ice, but Katie loves ice skating and we got a groupon for it. She sat in awe of the whole thing. Apart from the 15minutes where she was sleeping.

We headed home and ate some tea, did some major playing with the dolls, before Victoria came. We were heading to a fundraising ball for a local charity. Katie enjoyed the sweetie bar! Lots of compliments on our gorgeous carrier, which as always came to the rescue when she wanted her big cuddles on my back as I took some photos of them all in their finery with Katie peeping over my shoulder grinning at them all.
