Meet the Morgans

By familymorgan

Oh what a productive day! Up at 7 and I gave the kids breakfast whilst I washed up the giant mountain of dishes, dried them and put them away. After a quick breakfast clean up I made banana bread (with Baharat spices, absolutely delicious!) and banana milkshakes. Then I put up my new curtains in the living room, pinned them, took them up then rehung them. Chris was up by this point so he made us bacon croissants for breakfast. I had my shower, cleaned the bathroom then went upstairs and put clothes away before starting to pack for our trip to Scotland next weekend. Isaac had a nap and I hung out two loads of washing and put another on. When Isaac woke up we walked up to Savin nurseries to pick up some plants for the front window box. I got two lavenders a done daisy..thing for the middle. Back home and I prepped the roast dinner then we all spent some time outside in the sun. I started pruning some of the climbing plants we have out there. Isaac took a tumble and got a sore bump to the head so they a went back inside to watch a film. I finished pruning and swept up then back inside to finish the roast. We all enjoyed dinner and Chris bathed the kids and got them to bed whst I washed up (again!), planted the plants in the front, hung up another washing (SO good to be able to put it out to dry!) and tidied the living room.

I am now enjoying a glass of wine which I feel is very well deserved!!

Isaac did a lot of socialising with our neighbour today and we discovered the ginger cat (that Amelie is afraid of) is called Rupert, suits him! He is actually pretty scared of us and won't come near. Amelie seems to think he's going to come and clean her window tonight with a cloth? Some imagination that girl!

We also saw the massive owl (biggest owl I have ever seen) at the garden centre and spent the whole way home discussing what we would call our hypothetical pet owl. We decided that Magnus was a pretty good name. But Darth Owl was better. Amelie just wanted Daisy. Chris said most of my name choices were rubbish (Oswald is a pretty strong owl name don't you think?!) so I wound him up by discussing our future dogs name (he says we are never getting one...)
