Grasmere
Out and about far too early today - didn't sleep well because of the hay fever - so on the way up to Scotland took a detour in to the Lake District and called at the tea garden on the side of Grasmere. On the road to Penrith I stopped briefly to watch this boat fishing for char. The lines are set deep to seek out the fish. The weather was misty but pleasant until just south of Glasgow when the cloud lowered and the temperature dropped. On the Tay tomorrow. Pippa enjoyed wandering among the daffodils by the side of Ulswater. Sitting by the lake with a pot of tea, drinking in the scene, was pure bliss. Making the hard miles north, less so.
