Katie goes to nursery with twins, Sam and Ella, and it was their 4th birthday party today. Not until 4pm though. She spent most of the day asking if it was time to go yet. Her party clothes were lined up by 8am. We pottered at home until midafternoon. She spent ages making them pictures in lieu of cards. And sellotaping large pieces of paper to the envelopes. Katie had said she wanted to buy Sam a yoyo, and I was going to make Ella a skirt. She ended up choosing a book about how things work for Sam and how to draw animals for Ella.

It was a bouncy castle party. We arrived and Katie refused to go on the bouncy castles any further than the little entrance slidey bit they have. Her bestie hadnt arrived, and for half an hour she b0unced only on the front of the castles, or played with the giant gym ball that was randomly in the hall. The minute that Brooke arrived, the two of them hurled themselves at the bouncy castles with gusto. Reservations utterly abandoned. They ate a good tea and insighted a game of chase in the adjoining room to the party tea before the ice cream pudding. A good party!
