Wasted Apples

I took a drive into the countryside...
to see what I could see.
2 hundred cranes, an empty bee hive...
and 2 lone apple trees.

Why didn't the people pick them up...
to give themselves some fruit?
Some cider...some jelly...some homemade sauce...
and apple pies to boot.

For now, they lay there on the ground...
not worth diddly-squat.
No cider...no jelly...no apple pies...
good only for a Blip shot.
