Ukranian Champagne (yes really!)

Today we are in Odessa, Ukraine, having weathered a storm last night, and a 2 hour wait for our (plague) ship to be cleared by Ukranian authorities as norovirus is on board, and the palms needed to be greased a little more generously, with Hrvnas or even better dollars and euros, before they let us in..

The temperature plumeted yesterday from the 80's to something cold wet and blustery in the 40's today, and we have brought summer clothes and light waterproofs. We are freezing.

Our tour started late. We have a guide who won't shut up, and it is pretty depressing here. We finally get our guide to take us to dinner at 3 in the afternoon. We feast on Wiener Schnitzels (in Ukraine lol) and discover that they make bloody good champagne here that costs about $5, so we drink lots and cheer up.

The hangovers the next day are killers!
