Helix Day

Falkirk is a town in Central Scotland, and it is probably fair to say that it has long been considered the industrial "Ugly Sister" to Stirling, its rather attractive near neighbour. However, in recent years Falkirk Council has been working hard to improve Falkirk both as a place to live, and also to improve its reputation. We have the Falkirk Wheel, the world's first rotating boat lift. We have a maganificent public park at Callander Park, and now we have a new public space, The Helix.

The Helix is not officially open yet, but today we had a chance to see the work in progress. As part of the day's festivities, there were some performance artists - this lady is one of them.

Quite what the performance was actually about, I can not say... but they were clearly very into whatever it was they were doing!
