Melting
The heatwave continues. Temperatures went up to 35⁰C (95⁰F). It is almost unbearable, but not quite. Its made me think, during the winter months we complain about how cold it is and how much we want the summer warmth, but when the summer sun hits, we complain about the heat. We cannot be happy with the weather that we're living through and want something different.
Little Man had nursery this morning, and after I dropped him off, I biked to the outskirts of Woerden to pick up a few things before I came home. I pottered about the house before I went to get Little Man.
We've had a quiet afternoon at home. Water bottles have stayed full and there has been a steady supply of ice lollies for the darling boy. Last summer, I struggled getting food into him, because of the heat. He's been doing better this year, but I don't want him to go off his food because of the heat. Thankfully, it should start cooling off a bit tomorrow (even by a few degrees). The end of week should be even cooler.
As I was biking home, I paused to take a few photos of the cows. They were standing by the gate and were curious about me standing near them.
