Returning

I couldn't rouse myself to pack, check out and get to the conference in time for our Kiwi collaborator's talk at 08:30, so I took my time and caught the last talk in his session. HiGHS got a decent shout-out, but it wasn't a great talk. After another disappointing session, I had an interesting discussion with a former MSc student of ours. Then I got stuck into writing the slides I'll present to introduce our workshop tomorrow, as well as refining the badges for the attendees that A then printed and prepared. I also, eventually, spoke to daughter L about finance for the flat in London that she's hoping to buy.  I finally decided it would be OK to eat some lunch, and had a chat with an undergraduate I advised on postgraduate studies, who is about to submit his thesis after a happy and successful PhD.

The first talk in the last session was excellent, but the others weren't, and that was it. I worked in the seminar room for another hour or so, before Turfing my way to Leeds station.
