... give me your answer do.
When you appreciate that this is daisy, so not much more than 1cm across you realise just how small this fly is.
With the safe arrival of young Nina yesterday, Cathy felt that she could now safely buy some small gifts for her new granddaughter without jinxing things. So it was off to Bath this morning, where there is (of course) a lovely little shop selling expensive clothing for small children. I won't say what we bought in case Jess reads this, though I don't think either Cathy or the kids tend to visit here regularly. It is lovely though. We'll see what people think tomorrow when we get to meet Nina - I can't wait.
While we were in Bath Cathy wandered off to look at clothing shops and I headed for the local booksellers. I quite like a decent challenging science fiction or science fantasy book, but nowadays it has become a bit of a problem to actually track one down. I'm not interested in the young adult stuff, nor do I want to read romantic fiction, but there does seem to be an awful lot of that sort of material on the shelves of the relevant sections of the bookshops. It is obviously very popular, and I have no issue with that, I just don't want to read it myself. But there does seem to be so much of it that thought provoking well written books, of the sort that I do want to read, can be quite hard to find. Still, I did discover Canadian Author and Scientist Peter Watts's 2 books: Blindsight and Echopraxia which are now bundled together in a combined edition as Firefall which looks very promising. I have high hopes.
