Bluey
Outside there are rumbles of thunder and occasional drops of rain as the current heatwave comes to an end. Inside Cathy and I are trying not to worry and waiting on tenterhooks for news. Our daughter Jess went into labour shortly before midnight yesterday and we have everything crossed that can possibly be crossed.
(Update: young Nina arrived safely shortly after lunchtime today so all is well)
In the meantime to pass the time and keep myself occupied, here is a blue damselfly from the pond earlier this morning. Quite a bit earlier actually, as for some reason I was unable to sleep at 4am and found myself in the garden in my pyjamas with a camera and flash system, as you do. Fortunately I don't think the neighbours were awake to see me.
