Flora Norton

A notable day in the garden - I used my new ride-on mower for the first time and we ate the first of our early potatoes. The sweet peas are taking off now. The first Spencers are out as predicted but my blip today is of the old fashioned sweet peas with a pale lilac variety called Flora Norton to the fore. Flora Norton was first developed in California and introduced commercially around 1904. Who Flora Norton was remains a mystery to me.
