Bunkered

Remarkably, I managed to avoid going in any bunkers on this morning’s round, mainly because I spent most of it hitting the ball into the trees or beyond them onto adjacent fairways, which is what I’d done here at the 7th. 

In a rare moment of competence, I managed to hit a decent shot from the 6th fairway (beyond the heavily pruned tree) onto the green just to the left of the bunker in the photo. Of course, I missed the putt.

I racked up my worst overall score in ages and spent the afternoon in recovery, though I did get our home insurance renewal quote reduced by £40 after the annual phone call ritual negotiation.
