Sophie In Hiding

Kate had arranged to meet some friends for lunch so we took the opportunity to enjoy Sophie’s company for the day.

She wanted to go to the pool this morning and practise swimming lengths; she left us trailing in her wake.

After lunch she fancied a walk to the hides at Avalon Marshes. Here she is studying the list of birds that people had spotted from the hide over the last two days; she was able to add swans and Great White Egrets to the list.

Earlier at the hide near the bird feeders we chaffinches, a pheasant and a squirrel.

We reckoned we’d earned an ice cream at the cafe, then it was back for a few hands of Uno before meeting Chris after work for a meal at Wetherspoons.

By the time we dropped her at home it was a much closer race as to who was the most tired than it had been at swimming!
