Look Who's Coming..

..to Dinner and other things! 

Big day here - the arrival of King Charles III and Queen Camilla for the opening of Parliament. The King will be reading the Speech From the Throne tomorrow. It is hoped that his presence and participation will help reinforce the concept that we are a proud, sovereign nation, part of the Commonwealth and not to be tampered with by our neighbours to the south. And we could also use a little pomp and circumstance to help us celebrate Canada -  the True North Strong and Free. - and the hope we have for the future with our new Prime Minister. 

I had a call from the doctor today saying that the Shoulder Clinic, although they have my ultrasound results, need x-rays as well; so, I was off to a local clinic for x-rays. Thankfully we have walk-in x-ray clinics. No appointment needed, so I could get it done right away. 

As you can see in the extras, Maggie is still rather perky, and the garden is still providing some colour - just a tad of pink in that sea of green!
