The South Thompson looked
like a lake in the sunshine
this beautiful day!

As I backed my car out of the garage at 7 AM, a couple with two young girls came jogging by. This is quite out of the ordinary. Then a doe came along looking very confused by the joggers and the activity at the garage sale. The poor girl didn't know which way to turn. I left slowly and quietly.

I made the turn off the Yellowhead Hwy (#5) onto Shuswap Road and began to relax. I love this drive along the South Thompson River on a lovely morning like this.

I found that solitary eagle in the usual place. Was it waiting for me?

I stopped for a shot of the bright yellow salsify. It's a mark of summer.

I took views across the river to note the beautiful reflections. My longshot of the silt bluffs is an essential on that route.

It was a rather quick jaunt this morning. I picked up breakfast on my way back home.

It's coming on to summer and rather quickly. I'm hoping for a very quiet day at home.
