A grey start to our
Monday, but we must not be
discouraged at all

I was out the door at 7 and it was already 17 C. I might safely say that summer has arrived.
I stopped first for a long shot of Tranquille Farm across the wetlands pond. Then I had a quick look out across the former cattle pasture towards the river. I got a shot of my mountains as I peeked through the underbrush.
I zoomed out to Tranquille to check on the osprey. I am always a bit disheartened when I don't see anything on the nest as I drive up. I sat for some time this morning until the hunter reappeared. One flew in and one flew out at the exact same time. All seems in order.
I parked along the roadway to have a look at the wildflowers. Catchfly and wild roses were looking lovely this morning. The roses have a delicious scent.
Who should I find out for her morning walk, but my friend M? We had a wee visit and a hug then went our separate ways.
I stopped again along the road to see a pair of eagles hunting over the grasslands. One had something in its grip and landed very far from me. The other came along with hopes of sharing the catch, no doubt. Both are far too quick for my feeble abilities.
I headed for home with my breakfast in hand. I might look forward to coffee with a friend today if she's not working.
