Classic

We were back in Cheshire today to meet up with friends for lunch. We met at Plumley near Knutsford which was the mid-point between their home and where we are staying.

The location was The Golden Pheasant which is so typical of the attractive pub/restaurants in the area. The countryside is full of winding lanes with neat hedgerows, willow trees and paddocks and the occasional pond.

There was the occasional surprise such as when we came across this “Slow Down” “sign”. Several high end cars were on the road, including an Austin Martin.

So it was perhaps less of a surprise to see this Austin Healey 100 in the car park. It is around my age and seemed in great shape. Depending on the year and build they can sell from £40k - £120k. It was being parked very carefully!

The M6 flowed freely with mainly sensible driving. The next few days should be much more local.
