Ready for the saline
I went to see Julie today. Her cousin Jos, who is her next of kin, came too so that we could find out what is happening.
Julie is still confused but not really aware of it.
She has an acute delirium. Her blood sodium is very low and even lower than yesterday. A saline drip was about to be erected. The staff think she is dehydrated, but cannot keep track of her fluid balance.
It is anticipated that she will need to be in hospital for a few more days.
The positive news is that she is walking very well, almost as though there had been no knee operation.
She had a fall later in the day, but no injuries.
I went in to see Margret in Corbridge but arrived just before the physio, so my visit was less than five minutes.
Home was a quiet night and a meeting online with Margaret Soraya’s Creative Haven.
