Marjorie's ramblings

To cheer the grey day

I treated myself to a day at home, with very few jobs. (I did put a load of washing through, but that's about all.)

I planned to photograph my tulips with the daylight from the lounge window, but there was really no daylight all day. It was dark, damp and cold.

When I threw suet out for the blackbirds, about 20 jackdaws descended and devoured it all before the blackbirds had time to realise it was there!

I finished knitting a hat and stitched it up straight away. (You know how much I hate the stitching up.)

I watched the last episode of Unforgotten. The plot was so complicated, as if they had tried to throw in every current theme.  Never mind and no plot spoilers from me.

Julie tried to phone me numerous times from hospital but her Whatsapp kept cutting out. I gave her my home and mobile numbers and we did manage to talk. She feels fine and was wondering why she has to stay in hospital. Perhaps she could  come home when the drip was stopped this afternoon? NO!

I spoke to the nurse practitioner. The good news is that Julie's serum sodium has gone up. It's still low, but not dangerously so. They were unsure about her level of confusion.

It's  waiting game, but that is good news.

I treated myself to a couple of hours of sorting Namibian photographs. What a big job, but it took me back to a warmer, brighter place and I found myself smiling at some of the images.

The tulips had to be photographed in front of the splashback on the cooker. It is not that colour, but I wanted to brighten things.
