Switching it up

Not quite how today was intended to play out...

After yesterday's referral we were in Children's Assessment for 10 o'clock this morning. We weren't waiting too long before the ENT team came down to have a look at his ear. They decided, this time, that the best option would be to drain it and clean it out properly to try and get it sorted.
Unfortunately, Owen had had a bit of breakfast early on so we were going to have to wait until the afternoon -hopefully 1 o'clock, a couple of hours recovery, home by 4.
Unfortunately, he didn't go to theatre until 3, coming back bandaged up* about half an hour later and we were finally allowed to go home at 7.

It was a long day for all of us but the Switch has definitely proven its worth with all these unexpected hospital visits recently.
