Gotta go fast

Back to the hospital again this morning for a check on the surgery and a change of dressing -a lot smaller. It looks a bit angry still but the surgeon was happy with it and asked us to go back on Tuesday for another progress check. 
Owen's been so good and brave with it all that we had promised him a trip to Build-a-Bear in Telford for a much asked for Sonic, along with some 'accessories' followed by some lunch. 

Once we were home, Mom, Dad, and Mike came over in advance of my birthday, delayed thanks to yesterday's change of plans. It was nice to see them all despite the tiring weekend and it looks like I'll be seeing the Bluetones again fairly soon.
I also loved the hastily put together Star Wars cake from Owen and Louisa.
